SC INVESTIGATES SYNDICATE SUSPECTED OF RUNNING UNLICENSED INVESTMENT SCHEMES
Dear CGS-CIMB customers,
With reference to SC's recent media release, please be reminded on the unlicensed investment schemes ("the Schemes") and be cautious before investing in the Schemes particularly those offered on social media and direct messaging platforms. Please note that those who trade with unlicensed or unregistered entities or individuals are not protected under Malaysian securities laws and are thus, exposed to risks such as fraud and money laundering.
If you have dealings with the Schemes or their representatives you are urged to come forward and provide relevant information to the SC by calling 012-6113519 or email [email protected].
Also, please alert the SC if you come across any suspicious websites or receive any unsolicited phone calls or e-mails offering the Schemes, especially those that offer high returns with little or no risks.
